With rumours of flagships from OEM’s like Samsung and HTC on the high, it was long time since we saw one from the stable of Sony. Well thanks to the guys at Androidsas who first found it, we could probably have the first confirmed specification of Sony’s upcoming flagship, the Sony Xperia Z2.
According to the leakster the phone features a 5.2” 2560 X 1440 display and is installed in a frame which has the same dimension as the Sony Xperia Z1. This means the successor will feature reduced bezels which will help accommodate the larger display. The QHD display produces a pixel density of 506ppi which according to us will be a common trend this year.
When we look at the ports which has sort of a flap like structure to cover it, we can deduce that this phone might carry the legacy of being water proof like it’s predecessor, the Sony Xperia Z, Xperia Z1, Xperia Z Ultra and many others.
According to the sources, the successor to the Sony Xperia Z2 will hit the shelves in April 2014 which when compared to the release of the Sony Xperia Z1 seems quiet early.
